WHAT'S YOUR POSITION AT THE BIG ANDREW AND HOW DOES THE FOUNDATION INSPIRE YOU?
As “Director of Community Stoke” for the Big Andrew Pacific Chapter, my goal is to build a strong connection between TBA Foundation and the outdoor community of White Salmon/Hood River leading up to our 2017 whitewater event. I like to think of my role as “stoking the stoke” – creating synergies and excitement between our beneficiaries, racers, sponsors, and spectators.
I’m inspired by the Foundation’s achieved impact and belief in the power of relationships forged through outdoor recreation.
WHAT'S YOUR BIGGEST ASPIRATION IN LIFE?
In a nutshell, I aspire to make a substantial positive impacts in the lives of those around me while taking time to explore new places in my kayak and along the way support a healthy lifestyle for my family and myself.
HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR EGGS?
I’m an egg lover. My favorite flavor is over easy with with a special twist: add a tablespoon of water, cover the pan, and let the steam do the cooking.
MOST NOTABLE PERSONAL OR PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT?
Graduating from the University of Washington. Go DAWGS!
FAVORITE ACTIVITY WHEN NOT WORKING?
Paddling hard whitewater in remote places. Battling the raw, unyielding forces of nature really puts the beauty of life into perspective for me.
HAVE ANY PETS?
Negative — my college/post-grad lifestyle has been so busy that I would be unable to responsibly care for an animal.
BIGGEST PET PEEVE?
The Departed. Legendary cast and brilliant storyline. One of Leo’s best films in my opinion!
ANY CLOSING REMARKS?
